Bible Study Group begins New Series

Now’s a great time to join with others to get to know the Bible better in an informal, relaxed way. No prior knowledge is required—we’ll all be learning and deepening our understanding of Christian faith and life and sharing the joys and burdens of being a Christian.

For our next series of five meetings, we will be looking at aspects of Abraham’s life and their significance for us. Copies of our study guide, Abraham: Hearing God’s Call, are available now. In our first meeting, we will look at chapter 12 in Genesis, with the help of chapter 1 in the study guide.

Meetings will be on Wednesdays, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., on the following days:

17 October (The Old Rectory, Station Road, Hillington, PE31 6DE)

7 November (The Manor Farm House, Wolferton, PE31 6HA)

21 November (venue t.b.a.)

23 January (venue t.b.a.)

6 February (venue t.b.a.)

If attending a day time meeting would be better for you, please let me know, so that I may assess interest and availability.

The agenda for each meeting will be:

• Arrival: coffee, tea and cold drinks with cake or biscuits.

• Bible study using a simple study booklet.

• A time of prayer.

The only cost will be £3.00 for the study book. Please let me know confidentially if that cost will be a problem.

Possibly interested? Have a go! Bring a Bible, if you have one, or one will be provided. To give me an idea of numbers, please let me know you’re coming (contact details below)—otherwise, feel free to just turn up. If you don’t have transport, please tell me, as it can be arranged.

Hoping to see you,

Father Bob Nichols
